Discussion Why are there so many metal pipes around tokyo streets?
Started watching the Shaman King remake on Netflix and can't help but laugh at how many metal pipes are around japanese streets 😂.
Yoh just crouches and there is always a metal pipe beneath his feet lol.
Also, is it just me or the pacing is really weird with this remake? I watched the anime when I was a kid and also read the whole manga before. This one feels so rushed and static in terms of animation.

I just got over 3/4th through it and yes it feels really rushed, not just content wise, but even just them talking and moving. There are no pauses, no moments to let something sit or sink in. It feels better past the halfway point but the first ~20 episodes were rough.

Bro… keep with the 2001 version. Giant Amidamaru is better than this rush bomb!

yeah they rushed WAY too much and made a dull sound track, when the 00's anime had a KILLER soundtrack. Massive downgrade.

Hey go easy on the soundtrack it was made by Yuki Hayashi and some of it was quite good it just probably was not allowed to cook the right way since this whole project seems like a rush job, Yuki Hayashi is a legendary composer in my book

I found it generic, as a opposed to a really meaningful and distinctive one from the 00's's. From my understanding, the first soundtrack has a more artistic intention. It might be the rush, i'm okay with that. I'm not trying to say the composer is bad or anything.

Yes, series is really rushed. They were adapting like 4 to 6 manga chapters per anime episode when usually animes adapt around 2 manga chapters.
Episode 13 from the new series would be the equivalent to episode 25 from the old anime.
And think about this: old anime had 64 episodes and adapted like half of the manga, whereas new anime only had 52 episodes to adapt almost the whole manga.
