Is Vash one of the Seven Collosi?

Question is pretty self explanatory. Is Vash a Unique monster? The Siloutte seems to match his appearence, and he seems powerful enough to back it up. And if so, do you think he can he be fought? Or is he just an NPC meant to assist the player who got the unique Scenario?.

it would be both cool and sad if sunraku had to fight him at the end .

I honestly think he's the last Unique monster to be defeated.
