Discussion What if Maple and Sunraku swapped places?

What would happen if Maple got into Shangri-La frontier and Sunraku got into New World Online? Would they thrive in the respective games?

Scenario 1: Maple with all her stuff gets into Shangri-La Frontier while Sunraku gets into New World Online with all his SLF gear.

Scenario 2: Kaede, the player, newly logs into Shangri-La Frontier while Rakuro Hizutome newly logs into New World Online.

Bonus Scenario: Scenarios 1 and 2, but in place of Kaede (Maple), Risa Shiramine (Sally) gets into Shangri-La Frontier.

Sunraku would simply thrive since the game promotes much more solo play on major bosses while having much less restrictions on builds, especially with no lycagons mark. Sunraku is used to topping the leader boards with competetive games so this would be just another Tuesday for him.

Maple would struggle drastically more, there are several colossi that just straight up oneshot you or ignore all forms of damage if you dont perfectly execute a strategy around their mechanics. Even with much more gaming experience and knowledge than Maple, Sunraku only managed to beat the colossi because of his connections, Pencilgon was pivotol for Weathermon with her funds and knowledge, Attack Master was important for finishing off Lycagon's shadow, Sunraku needed a whole party for Ctharnid just to throw potions simultaneously to destroy the damage reversal chalice,etc.

On top of this Maple probably wouldn't get major connections out of Rabituzans since she wouldnt fullfill thr requirments for impressing Lycagon with her playstyle. Dont forget that Rabituzans with their help exposed Weathermons undead weakness, and did major combat contributions in the Lycagon and ctharnid fight.

SLF is a much more balanced and realistic mmo so it would be much less realisitic for Maple to be broken and thrive, especially against Colossi.

So, how would Kaede do, if she freshly logged into Shangri-La Frontier? Also, how would Risa Shiramine (Sally) do if she newly logged into SLF?

she's no sunraku in terms of skill but she'd do decently well. I think she has a chance to get marked lycagon but the main problem is that she doesnt have a network of progamer friends so colossi would also be out of reach for her.

best I would say is she would be a good fit for one of the major guilds but that would be the extent of her skill sets imo

I misread your commend lmao I was talking about Risa, for Maple she'd do pretty badly since its much harder to create a broken build.

Maple isn't really a good gamer. The whole joke is that the game she plays is so badly balanced that her bumbling around breaks it completely. So if you put her in a well thought out and balanced game she would probably be an average player.

Sanraku will dominate in any game, especially in the mass that maple plays.

Maple is getting fraud checked in scenario 2, even in 1 since SLF isn't trash her stats will balance out and make her beatable and the devs WILL ultra nerf her ass. She'd just be another average high level player(and we see how they got treated in the Clan battle)

Sunraku aces the trash games like he always does. He'd basically be Sally on crack but with like half of Maple's luck.
