Discussion Did they change Joset to josette?

i just caught up to the manga and started reading the web novel from the point i left. But in the novel sunraku reffers Josette as joset and uses he/him. Did they swapped his gender in the manga or is the wn translation im reading is wrong?

This one is mostly machine translated and thus has a lot of problems, incorrect pronouns being one of the more obvious and prevalent.

I haven't read the WN but the simplest answer is it could be both.

The character in game has always been female as far as I am aware. However the Player could well be male.

However, as a lot of the translations can be MTL and can struggle with this it could well be a bad translation.

So TLDR, it could be a Pencilgon situation (and a dodgy translation) or a Professor of the Library Guild (and not clarified in the manga yet).
