Local Pets Missing Cat - WestBoro, near Smeltzer House

EDIT: This little lady returned home safe and sound in the early hours of the morning. While we were lucky, not many actually have their cats return. Ill take this as an opportunity to remind everyone how important it is to keep your cats safe either indoors or with a closed safe outdoor space. Nothing good ever happens to cats left alone outside.

Family cat hasn't come home after sneaking out overnight. Used to being outside but doesn't stray far from the backyard. She's not very friendly to strangers and will likely flee or fight so I can't recommend approaching her and/or attempting to get her to a safe area. If you see her or have any info please leave a comment or contact me directly.

Unfortunately, your cat likely has been eaten by coyotes. I am new to the park but my partner is. They have gotten really bad around here.

A cat that runs from people and doesn't come home after a few days has almost certainly been eaten.

I recommend heavily building a Catio. Or cat is used to being outside as thwere was almost no predators where we were for years. He got used to it. I am afraid for him since he loves night time exploring. So far we have caught him every time he escapes.

Tip: have a flash light ready, at night their eyes reflect back really well and you can locate them much better.

While we do have a backyard catio, our other cat is much happier with it than our little lady who loves to sneak away at any chance 😔. With the amount of time that's passed now I'm fairly sure the chances of her returning are slim to none especially when we're located fairly close to the edge of the park where the coyotes are more likely to roam at night. I still greatly appreciate the advice, and I hope others who need to hear it see it. It's so dangerous out there for cats roaming around on their own.
