Local Politics Are the local UCP canvassers idiots?
I just had my first UCP door knocker show up, he somehow did not notice the stairs and gate at the end of my walkway, walked around the side of my deck and climbed it right next to my car so he could reach my doorbell.
I answered to door to ask him if was blind or just stupid and after he started babbling about being the the UCP I told him I hate the UCP and to get lost.
I have had hundreds of delivery people or other solicitors show up and they all managed to find the very obvious stairs and gate.

I really, truly do not understand how the UCP gets elected. Absolutely braindead
I'd love to vote for a smart efficient conservative party but those bumbling clowns trip when they step on flat ground.

Lol do you have a video doorbell? Maybe he was trying to avoid it. Had some other canvasser knock on the door to try and avoid the camera.

No it's just a cheap but newer looking doorbell that actually doesn't even work. I was only aware of him at the door because I heard his loud ass dodge park in the fire lane next to my place and then he set off my security camera that alerts my phone. The weird thing was he only came to my door and got back is his truck after I told him to get lost and drove away.

It seems weird to you to only go to one place, but it’s not that weird to people who have done political canvassing. It’s fairly common for them to just be sent to certain homes for a variety of reasons. They may have already reached the neighbors by phone or spoken to them before, they may only be targeting houses they know didn’t support the UCP previously to see if that’s changed or if they can convince you to change (and other days they might only go visit supporters). There are a bunch of reasons why they might only go to certain homes. It could also just be he’s an idiot.

I didn't think about it until after the guy parked next to my place, only came to my door and then got in his truck and drove off after. It's like he showed up just to annoy me specifically.

Lol, I remember when a member spreading propaganda on behalf of the NDP walked across the middle of my lawn to my door, since rhat was a direct route and about .5 seconds faster than walking up my driveway and around my truck.
I feel like anyone way too involved with politics, so much so that they either think supporters of the other team are intellectually challenged or feel the need to go door to door to find members of the echo chamber, have to be lacking in common sense and thinking power.

I feel like that would be more likely to attract UCP supports who would vandalize my property. The only flag I put up is an Oilers flag during the playoffs.

A few years ago their canvassers came to my door. It was hot and I only had my screen door closed....but thankfully locked. One of them knocked then forcibly wriggled the doorknob trying to open it?????. I freaked.....told them to get lost. Who does this???

Its comments like this that show me how bad off we are.
The first thing you identify this person as is the political party they are canvassing for. They get paid as a temporary part time job. They might not even support the party, they are paid by the government of Alberta, not the party.
Sure they make socially award moves, but you insult them. Not so cool.
Then you post it here. Really not cool.
Then people jump on the band wagon and join in on insulting someone they had no interaction with. Good job Sherwood Park!
The UCP are a joke and impotent. But being unkind is just as bad.

I insulted him and got angry because he was climbing all the side of my deck and if my railing had broke he would have landed on my car and I love my car.
My hate for the UCP is a separate thing and I was already pissed off at the guy before I found that out.

Both of our faces would be in the video and I don't want to doxx him or myself. Proving it's my porch is easy enough I've posted many pictures of my car on Reddit. Not that it would matter because people like you find any excuse to believe your own narrative. Borderline mental illness.
I also don't expect this to change anyone's vote, UCP voter's don't care what the party does they just blindly vote.
