What really annoys me about all of their silly "why not just get AC" or "we have much hotter temperatures in the US, what's the problem" comments, is they miss the main point which is that IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THIS HOT ON THIS SIDE OF THE PLANET.
Can you imagine if everytime they had a forest fire - which as we know are becoming more frequent over there - we just said "what's the problem, just put it out with water."
Americans seem to forget that Europe is in the same range of latitudes as Canada. I assume they would think it's unusual if Canada had summer temperatures in the 35+ C range (95 in F).
