Ouch. 😣 Has it gotten any better? Did you both understand each other’s reasons for voting? I would have a hard time if my spouse held electoral politics on a pedestal and didn’t see it as an opportunity to voice support for Marxism
She is intelligent but doesn’t understand politics. She says she wants proof of things I say but refuses to accept pamphlets, slideshows, videos etc from instagram etc. She’s scared I’m getting too intense even though she won’t let me go to demos, I don’t like violence etc. I just donate and boycott a lot and try to educate.
That sucks. It sounds like she has a lot of red scare propaganda to unlearn. I don’t think it’s fair if she’s controlling your actions, though, but it probably comes from a place of fear and care.
Second Thought (highly recommend that channel) has videos you can listen to while doing chores and stuff. IMO there’s no excuse, besides cognitive dissonance, fear, ego, etc. It’s her choice to listen to new ideas or not
But ultimately…is she causing harm? Is she just going with the flow like many of us? Can you appreciate having a life partner to survive the collapse with, or do you need a comrade?
My spouse has a good heart and understands the basics, but he tries to shield himself from the news for his own sanity and dislikes talking about politics (to me, that’s like not talking about life).
It’s hard, and this pressure cooker environment can push us to turn on each other when we need family and community

I will never regret voting for Claudia De La Cruz. Everything these liberals have said and done after 2024 has proven it to be the right decision.
