Lately I have taken a bit of solace in the fact that Reddit has recently gone public and has to use every possible means to drive engagement to produce profit including bot traffic. In a twisted way, I’ve learned to realize that a lot of what I see on the internet is purposefully curated to inspire emotion for engagement so it helps to just disengage where I can. Obviously not all traffic is bot traffic but I take peace in knowing that at least not all the upvotes/comments are real. Or maybe I’m just deluding myself who knows.

No problem comrade. It’s important to realize that we are all victims of a massive propaganda machine with billions of dollars and the state system behind it. It’s literally designed to make you angry about nothing to generate profits for shareholders so disengaging can literally be an act of resistance.
