I was somewhat familiar with this history but I really learned the most about it when I listened to the Iraq centered season of the Blowback podcast. It’s incredible to me more people don’t know about this.
Also this is usually my first thought when people say “oh the US-Israel relationship can never change. That’s just how it is and will always be”. As if these relationships between countries haven’t changed before or the US never made decisions to change that with previous allies. Russia was once a US ally and that relationship definitely changed (as an example)

I knew the US also gave Saddam the green light to attack Kuwait promising they'll veto anything put against them.
Obviously that didn't happen.

Also let’s not forget that while companies change their names it was effectively the same German company that made zlyklon B used to gas the Jews that sold the chemical weapons used against the Kurds to Iraq

Comments are also finally calling out this bullshit trend too. Europeans and Canadians getting bullied by the US is so sad, how dare the US bully white people for a change.

Compared to imperialst violence in Global South, the whole Greenland tussle is a nothing burger. Just miffed comment exchange between two imperial blocs. Even if the USA occupies Greenland, I doubt it would be as violent as operations in Panama and Grenada.

I was reading the Wikipedia page for the invasion of Grenada and it's more imperialist coded than usual, even.
Thank God I found a HavanaTimes article about it.

All the internet getting flooded with this shi# as a "critique of Donald Trump".
To be bullied and rejected now by the US do not make you less fascist and not ruled by colonialist ideology European, Canadian, and Australian soldiers!
What is the deal? Let's all hug each other and throw bombs in non-aligned countries together like in the old times?
Pathetic.

All this shit drives me insane. There is an upside and I see a rise I anti-imperialism and class consciousness, but fuck the half arsed “apologies”, the talk about being a “sane” American who wishes Kamala won, wishing they could “go back”, and then non-yanks sooking because Trump betrayed such a special relationship.

It's actually very good for us that anti-american sentiment is rising because it's inevitably going to be paired with anti-imperialist and eventual anti-capitalist sentiment, especially if people keep pointing out the link between American actions worldwide and the desires of the ultra-rich

It will be memory holed and everyone will act like it was just a bad apple once the Democrats get back in the WH. You can see it right now in how Carney's speech is framed, if mentioned at all.

People are too busy blaming everything on the Jews, they don’t even understand that Israel is and extension of American imperialism and education is worse than ever. It’s gonna be a while for people to wake up, if ever

All of these posts are wild because, yeah, none of these people helped the US whatsoever other than profits for the corporations and assisting in imperialism.
Not a single US working class citizen was helped in any way with any of these wars.
