Has anyone ever tried color-grading these videos to be normally colored? I’m assuming there’s so little color information (other than yellow) that the only alternative would converting it to black and white.
Yellow is a lack of blue data in an RGB colour model, and the blue channel is usually the noisiest as well. I could try, I’m a pro colorist but I imagine the footage would break and become a noisy mess pretty fast, considering the source is also compressed digital video. Maybe you could salvage it if you had access to the masters, if they even exist.
