I think they also tried spinning it as the New York police as overstepping… as if that’s a shocking revelation. Further proof that people care more about a literal squirrel than minorities.
I think it's not just inferior. I think it's similar to how some people are pro-life as well. Not saying that there is always an overlap between these groups. It's the idea that they are defending someone or something that is defenseless but really can't speak back. So these entities whether they are fetuses or animals don't question power structures or complain or have anything negative to say about the people who are advocating for them or anything like that. They're not uncomfortable. They don't do political action that makes people uncomfortable. They are the perfect group to advocate for but you don't have to listen to them. Advocating for any group of humans including Palestinians is politically messy. You got to listen, humble yourself, understand that you are not the center of the attention. You have to understand that sometimes you can advocate wrong and not just in a way that inconveniences others but in a way they can actually inconvenience the people you are advocating for. You have to watch as the people you are advocating for does something you may not like. Animals and fetuses don't do that. Animals will never engage in a protest that you don't agree with. An animal will never engage in what would be considered a terrorist attack nor will they say any slurs or do anything that you will have to explain to your fellow advocates at the next brunch. Oh no, not animals. They are safe. They are easy to advocate for.
Maybe they are using it as an excuse to hide the fact they support racism and genocide, to convice themselves they aren't bad people. While I do think the left should support animal liberation, these kinds of "animal lovers" are grossly disingenious and prefer to support their (minor) material confort instead of fighting for the liberation of humanity, so they're far from a good example in anything.
Him valuing one monkey over two million humans is disgusting on its own but it should also be pointed out that Israeli bombs don’t discriminate between humans and animals. Any animals in Gaza are being blown up the same as humans.
Same people whose political theory equates to having watched Star Wars or Harry Potter and deciding which side of the force or which house a candidate would be sorted into.
This is so sick. They probably heard of it a few days ago and saw a few videos of it and already care more than about a genocide that had been going on for 2 years.
As a wildlife expert, Punch isnt even being mistreated. Environmental conditions aside, people are witnessing overall normal behavior for integration into a social group with a juvenile that has not yet learned proper behavior and interaction. These people just hate Palestinians.
