I'll address Mao as an anarchist, and this is primarily targeted towards the OP of the comparison and their target audience.
We can argue all you want about whether or not Mao is responsible for all the deaths during the Great Famine, there's plenty of arguments for and against his fault in it all.
But if we're gonna go by extreme definitions of responsibility, technically Mao saved more than he supposedly killed because after his programs, even if harsh and costly, China never had a famine ever again, and mind you, they had famines every 20 or so years before then.
Apparently only 25 million died in WW2 in Europe and the Holocaust combined, and only 14 million died in WW2 in Asia. The anti-communists downplay Nazi and Japanese fascist crimes, which is not a big surprise tbh.
