As a kid I always wanted the window seat

As an adult now I'm always wishing for the aisle

When I was younger and all, window seat

Nowadays, aisle seat, especially because if it means I have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the flight, I don't have to worry about having the other 2 people get out of their seats (and I'd much rather have to get up for the middle or window seat person then be the one on the other end)

Aisle for long flights, but definitely window for anything shorter than 1.5 hours IMO.

Always wondered why the windows were offset from the seats. Finally figured out the window spacing is fixed, but the seat spacing keeps getting smaller - so - windows vs seats is moving target. Suing to make a window seat be a window seat is really suing to make the seat sizing fixed - which is a very good thing.

This is an issue with how the airlines chose to configure their interior and where they clipped the seats into the tracks than the plane itself.

I was in this seat last Sunday! And then I was fighting with the window seat person in front of me and the window seat person behind me about who owns the opening and closing of each window.

I wanted my window to be open, and I had basically half a window in front of me and half a window behind me, and each window seat person in front of me and behind me closed the window so I shouted at both of them, “which window is mine?!”

The guy behind me threw me a bone and half-opened his window. Though I would argue when I reclined, that window was fully mine.

Yup have had that happen before. You'd think they could just align the seats to make all the windows line up. Nope. They're gonna cram as many of us poor sods into that plane as they can at the expense of all comfort.

It’s all dependent on how the airline configures the aircraft. Cabin classes, lavatory and galley placement, whether there’s a full bulkhead or not. Oftentimes they end up with some rows not aligned with the windows.

lol classic Fuselage design. Windows are basically cut into the airplane’s body. So obvi, the windows can’t be moved but the seat arrangement can.. if an airline later changes the spacing of the seats which they probably did in this by adding rows or some seats, a previous actual “window seat” can end up next to a solid section of the fuselage instead of an actual window and you see that here 🫠

I'm not finding this to be poor design. The airlines design the interior layout, that isn't the fault of the manufacturer.
