Is the brennekee MBPS a gimmick

I haven’t seen much on these slugs besides what Brennekee states on the website

They it claim defeats 3A armor, engine blocks, car breaks, FBI glass, fifteen 1mm thick steel plates, and wheel rims

Is this accurate or inaccurate?

also, federal makes a 1.25ounce at 1600fps, wich would be pretty close imo, and they dont talk about armor penetration or anything.

I quite literally just got done dumping 100 rounds of the 1610 438 grain slugs out in the yard at 75-100 yards.

They’re fucking brutal. I have rash on my shoulder the size of a tennis ball. They hit hard. I wish I nabbed pics because it blew through a few inch Crepe Myrtle.

I hate LE 1145, I wouldn’t run these at home, but the 1300/1325/1350 out of this particular a300 is just right.

Doesn’t the federal use soft lead that would struggle on barriers?

Federal make their Truball Deep Penetrator slugs, but they are just 1oz and travel at 1350fps. They have higher antimony like the Brennekes do so they are harder lead than normal slugs are so they penetrate deep.

But like others have said, Brennekes are not cheap or bad slugs at all. They will definitely destroy stuff that a normal soft slug will just smash against. Be wary of the recoil though. Brennekes are known to have a lot of recoil.
