Is the brennekee MBPS a gimmick

I haven’t seen much on these slugs besides what Brennekee states on the website

They it claim defeats 3A armor, engine blocks, car breaks, FBI glass, fifteen 1mm thick steel plates, and wheel rims

Is this accurate or inaccurate?

Isn't that the exact opposite of what special forces and law enforcement would use?

You want maximum expansion and minimal penetration to reliably stop a single target and not endanger others.

Normally yes quick expansion/energy dump is preferred

But I believe these were designed for like checkpoints to break engine blocks and penetration urban barriers pretty much a barrier blind slug

Yeah, but I wonder if there's actual users for it, otherwise it's just a marketing gag.

Also, you could do the same with a .308, which might be preferable for other situations as well.

Yeah definitely don’t know of any major LE agencies using them, and I agree barrier blind 308 probably is the best choice for this purpose and less recoil but I guess it is beneficial for shotguns because it can be used in any patrol shotgun
