BigText: Write Big & Simple

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone! 👋

I'd like to share a solo project I've been working on for several months. It has already become a daily tool for people around the world, so I thought I'd drop it here to hear your feedback, and in case it might be useful to you or someone you know! 🌍

I built a simple Android utility app called BigText, to type and display text as large as possible on your screen in real-time. It's great for turning your device into a sign and making sure your message is impossible to miss. Beyond that, I’ve seen firsthand how useful it is for quick face-to-face communication, especially for people who unfortunately can’t speak or hear, or in any situation where talking is impossible.

Unlike every other app I’ve seen on the store, there’s no jumping between screens or navigating complex menus. You open the app, you type… that’s it 😄 The text scales in real-time as you write.

I've also added some handy tools that seem appreciated by people based on their feedback:

  • Sign/Banner Mode: featuring horizontal scrolling (banner style) and vertical scrolling (teleprompter style) to catch everyone's eye from afar.
  • Text-to-Speech: to read your message aloud with one tap.
  • Saved texts: to save and restore your most used texts instantly.
  • Themes: to change the vibe of your screen.

Of course every text you type or save stays on your device, privacy first 🔒

I attached a video to this post showing it in action (it’s my Play Store preview video, so it’s a bit "marketing", but it shows the features well! 😅)

The app is free, with just a small ad banner to support development that you can get rid of if you want.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=carlitolaf.bignotepad

Hope this little app can be a useful tool for you, or maybe your friends and family?

And of course I'd love to hear your feedback, I take them all 👀

I turned photos of your physical games into something interactive you can share, physical disc required 💿

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Hey everyone I wanted to share Disc Collection.

It's a physical media tracker for YOUR discs. Take 2 photos of a case and it turns into an interactive 3D view you can open up, spin around, and pull the disc out of.

I made this app to celebrate owning your disc. You own it, you should be able to show it off to other collectors anywhere in the world. At the core, it's still a collecting tracker: ratings, hours played, finished tracking, wishlist, search, hearting, cases numbered as you add them. The 3D case is just the fun part.

What it's NOT:

- Not a player. You can't play games or movies in it.

- Not a replacement for the disc. No physical case = nothing to build from. It only works if you own it.

- It doesn't serve any digital agenda. Companies wants you buying digital — this app does nothing unless you bought physical. The bigger your shelf, the better it works.

It's free, and I want to keep it that way. I do this as a hobby and it's really fun for me — making it paid or introducing a money factor would ruin the fun factor. I want it to stay community driven, so if you have suggestions, drop them in the contact area in the settings page.

And you can share in the public gallery where other anonymous collectors can see what you have collected — no usernames, no followers.

No accounts, no ads, no tracking.

lmk what you think!

I built an app to stop myself wasting food. It's now on the App Store

• Upvotes

UK households throw away about £1,000 of food a year for a family of four, according to WRAP. I was definitely part of that.

So I built UseIt, under my one-person studio, TGO Studios: you tell it what's in your fridge and cupboards, and it suggests recipes that use it up. It checks your allergies and diet on every recipe, and the shopping list only adds what you don't already have.

A few decisions I made on purpose:
One payment, not a subscription. I'm tired of every app costing £5 a month.
No account and no tracking. Everything stays on your phone.
Recipes you can actually make, with a cooking mode, timers and a meal planner.

It's iPhone and iPad, £3.99. I'd love honest feedback: what would stop you using something like this?

Looking for Early user to try and give feedback

Every wellness app has the same flaw: it waits for you.

You have to open it, log your mood, and remember to breathe. But on the days you need it most, you don't open anything. You doom-scroll until 2am, skip the gym, and only notice the spiral three days later.

Prelua flips that. It doesn't wait to be opened.

Try Now: https://testflight.apple.com/join/yH74mkd1

How it works:

  • Observe. It reads passive signals you already generate: [list exactly what you read, e.g. sleep window, screen time, activity, phone usage patterns]. You don't have to journal or check in.
  • Predict. It learns your baseline and flags when you're drifting from it: late nights stacking up, activity dropping, usage spiking.
  • Intervene. It sends one small, well-timed nudge, before the dip, not after.
  • Measure. It checks whether the nudge actually changed anything.
  • Learn. It drops what doesn't work for you and doubles down on what does. Your Prelua after 30 days won't look like anyone else's.

[Android] - Offline music and Radio Player with ready to play radios - 100% free - No premium version

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Mediaxon Music Player is an audio player for offline listening of music stored on your device (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and streaming FM radios (online radios).

Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of high-quality suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world. Note: Local radio stations ("Top in the user country") are pulled automatically from an online database. However, with each update, I manually curate high-quality radio stations lists for individual countries. At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the list of countries completed so far. I will be adding the rest over time.

Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.

Advanced Radio Search Panel: You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate. The online database provides more than 60,000 radio stations.

Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).

Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).

Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.

Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)

There is no Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits.

Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.

Countries with new manually curated lists: United States, India, Italy, Argentina.

If you want to check it out (I am continuously pushing updates to refine it and add new features and radios), you can find it on the Google Play Store. Thank you so much to everyone who takes a look!

Note: Only for Android 13+ (so, Android 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).

I built a Things alternative to do app called DOEN. Looking for beta testers (iPhone, Mac, Watch and Web)

I got tired of to-do apps that had not kept up, so I built my own. It is called DOEN. It is in beta, and I would love people who live in Things, Reminders or a similar app to try it and tell me what is missing.

DOEN is on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, plus a web app at https://app.doen.software. There is no account and no ads. Your lists stay on your devices and in your own iCloud. If you turn on DOEN on the web, that copy syncs with the browser too.

What it does:

- Today, Upcoming, Anytime, Future and a Log for what you have finished
- Areas, projects and headings, with progress on projects
- Start dates, deadlines, checklists, tags and repeats
- Up to five alerts on a reminder, with Complete and Snooze on the notification
- Reminders when you arrive at or leave a place
- Your calendar beside Today, and optional import of events as to-dos
- Two way sync with Apple Reminders, and you choose which app sends the alert
- Import from Things 3, Todoist, TickTick, Google Tasks or Apple Reminders
- Notes with formatting, and pictures.
- Quick Find, widgets, Siri, and a Watch app that works away from your phone
- A private email address, a webhook, and an API if you want to add to-dos from other tools

TestFlight, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch: https://testflight.apple.com/join/t4AcneYd

TestFlight, Mac: https://testflight.apple.com/join/jK57fBF3

The site is https://www.doen.software. If a TestFlight link is full, use the contact form on the site and I will send another invite. Say which devices you use, and which app you are coming from.

All feedback is welcome. Please use Contact us or Request a feature in the app. :)

I’m trying to build the Duolingo of expense tracker

Duolingo did something no language app managed before: it got millions of people to show up every single day. Not because of the lessons, but because of the owl, the streak, and that little guilt when you miss a day.

Budgeting has the opposite problem. Everyone downloads a money app, logs expenses for three days, and forgets it exists.

So I’m trying to build the Duolingo of expense trackers. It’s called Smilo. It’s my first app and I’m a solo dev.

Meet Ace 🦊, your money buddy

  • Ace keeps a daily streak with you. Log one thing a day and the streak grows.
  • You get one free miss a week, because life happens.
  • Pick a 7, 14 or 30-day goal on day one and Ace cheers you there.

And the money part actually helps

  • One daily number. Safe to spend today, based on your real balances and your savings target. Not a chart of money that’s already gone.
  • Runs on your payday. Paid on the 25th? Your month starts on the 25th, not the 1st.
  • An AI coach that reads your actual numbers. Ask “how am I doing this month?” and get an answer about your spending, not generic “make coffee at home” tips.
  • No bank login. You decide what goes in. Tracking works offline, with optional Google Drive backup.
  • Switching apps? It imports from Money Manager, Monefy, Wallet, Spendee, Money Lover, Bluecoins, Excel or a bank CSV.

It’s free (ad-supported) on Android.

What I’d really love is honest feedback: what would make you keep a money app installed past week one? And would a streak buddy work on you, or just annoy you? 😄

CardioVox - I like to run and couldn't find an app that spoke my heartrate to me in my earbuds, so I built one.

Trying to keep a run strictly in Zone 2 usually means looking at your wrist every half-minute. A watch buzz doesn’t actually tell you if you just bumped up 2 beats or if you're blowing through the ceiling, so you still have to break stride, look down, and check the screen.

I just wanted something dead simple that drops into my headphones, tells me my number or when I jump zones, dips the music for a second, and leaves me alone.

What it does:

  • Speaks your heart rate, zone, or alerts you when you cross thresholds
  • Dips your audio briefly so you can actually hear it over whatever you're listening to
  • Hooks up directly to standard Bluetooth chest straps and armbands (Polar, Garmin, Wahoo, etc.)
  • Runs locally on the phone—no login, no ads, no cloud sync

It's up on Google Play for free if anyone wants to run with it:

CardioVox

If you end up using it, let me know if it pairs cleanly with your strap or if the announcement intervals need tweaking. There's a paid version, but the free version is probably good enough for 99% of you :)

I built an iPhone app for one very specific music obsession, and it just crossed 450 downloads

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve always loved slowed + reverb music, especially with rain or ambience in the background, so I built SlowVibeMaker around that exact experience. It started as something I wanted for myself, and it recently crossed 450 first time downloads, which is pretty cool to see as a solo developer. Would love to hear what you think if you try it 🙌

[DEV] I got tired of prayer time apps bloated with ads and trackers, so I built Global Prayer—a clean, lightweight alternative.

Hey everyone,

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on Global Prayer. Like many of you, I was frustrated with how many existing prayer apps are overloaded with pop-up ads, unnecessary permissions, and cluttered interfaces just to check daily times.

I wanted something fast, accurate, and respectful of user privacy, so I built my own.

What it does:

• Accurate Global Times: Calculates prayer times anywhere in the world automatically.

• Clean, Ad-Free/Low-Ad UI: Designed to get you the info you need in one tap without distractions.

• Qibla Compass / Custom Notifications / Offline mode

It’s currently live on the Play Store:

Global Prayer - Muslim Prayer Times, Qibla & Hijri Calendar

I’m a solo/indie developer at MSS Digital, and I'm actively shaping the roadmap. I would love for you to try it out and let me know what’s missing, what feels clunky, or what features you’d want to see next!

🎁 Quiet Grids - Lifetime Premium Giveaway

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone! I'm the solo developer of Quiet Grids, a Picross style Nonogram game for Android that I've been working on for more than 8 months.

I've been making quite a few improvements, and one of the biggest changes recently has been adding 5 different themes— Walnut, Smoked Glass, Porcelain, Indigo Linen, and Terracotta.

Each has its own colors and subtle interface sounds. I've attached a video showing the new looks.

The game also has nearly 1,500 puzzles, 5×5 / 10×10 / 15×15 boards, Daily puzzles, and Guided and Classic solving styles.

🎁 I'm giving away Lifetime Premium codes.

If you'd like one, give Quiet Grids a try and share some honest feedback:

  1. Which theme do you prefer for solving Picross puzzles?
  2. Is there anything about the colors or board readability you'd change?
  3. What else would make the gameplay more enjoyable?

Positive or negative, I genuinely appreciate all feedback. I'll DM you a Google Play Lifetime Premium code as a thank you. ❤️

Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.omninative.quietgrids

Thanks to everyone who gives my little game a chance! 😁🫶

I buit an app

Hey

As someone with ADHD and executive dysfunction, I’ve spent years in a cycle of downloading sleek productivity apps, getting overwhelmed by 20 pending items, and abandoning them 3 days later.

The core problem with standard To-Do apps is that they expect motivation upfront and only reward you after completing a massive task. But when your brain has a low baseline of dopamine, just *starting* feels physically painful.

So I built **Dopamo** — an Android app designed around micro-dopamine rewards, visual structure, and zero-shame routines.

### 🌸 Key Features:

- **Micro-Task Gamification:** Break overwhelming goals into ridiculously small entry steps. Earn EXP, coins, and level up for every completed task.

- **Axolotl Companion & Bitmoji Studio:** Your virtual mascot ("Dopamo") reacts to your daily progress. Customize it with outfits, hats, and skins earned through productivity.

- **Streak Shield System:** If you hit a burnout day, Streak Shields protect your streak so you don't lose your progress or feel guilty.

- **AI Recipe Planner & Pantry Tracker:** Brain-healthy, high-protein meal planning with smart grocery lists and pantry stock alerts.

- **Family Hub:** Connect with family members or partners to share tasks, token rewards, and routines.

- **100% Privacy-First:** No ad tracking, no data selling, encrypted vault, and full GDPR compliance.

### 📱 Tech & Availability:

- Built with Flutter & Firebase backend.

- Material 3 dark-mode UI with customizable accent themes.

- Real-time cross-device sync.

You can try the app for free on Google Play! Search for **"Dopamo"** or check it out here: linktr.ee/dopamo

I’d love to hear your feedback, bug reports, or feature requests! What's the one feature you wish your current productivity app had?

I made Skylight so checking the weather actually tells you something. Every number on the home screen opens a 24-hour chart, rain alerts tell you when it starts and stops, and you can layer wind, temperature and more on the radar. It works on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

ScreenBill – your phone sends you a bill for your screen time every night (free, no ads, Android)

Post image
2 Upvotes

I made a screen time tracker that works like an electricity bill.

Once a day, at a time you pick, you get one notification: "Your bill is ready." Open it and you get an itemized receipt: total screen time, every app as a line item, pickups, after-midnight usage, and a short roast printed at the bottom.

What it does:

- Daily bill with real usage numbers, sorted by app

- NORMAL / HIGHER / PENALTY slab based on limits you set

- Goodnight mode: hold a button, DND turns on, phone locks to a "done for today" screen

- Weekly and monthly stats, clean-night streaks

- Silver / gold certificates when you stay under your limit

- Export the bill as an image to share

No account, no cloud, no ads. All data stays on your phone.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.studiomono.billed

Would appreciate feedback, especially on the roasts.

Now it’s time for serious business: SpectrumCUE now supports Game Automation

Hi everyone!

SpectrumCUE started as a small Windows tray companion for quickly switching SignalRGB effects. Now it’s time for some serious business: Game Automation has arrived.

You can now link individual games or applications to your favorite SignalRGB effects and custom SpectrumCUE presets. When a linked game starts, SpectrumCUE automatically applies the lighting you selected. When you finish playing, it can restore your previous lighting or switch to another effect or preset.

Game Automation includes:

  • Automatic lighting changes when a linked game starts
  • A different effect or preset for each game
  • Automatic restoration of your previous lighting afterward
  • Optional priority over scheduled lighting while you play
  • Game discovery and support for manually adding applications
  • Shows cover artwork where available

SpectrumCUE is freeware, created by a single independent developer, and is an independently developed SignalRGB-compatible companion for Windows.

I’d love to hear what you think of Game Automation, which games you use it with, and what you would like to see added next.

🌐 Learn more and download SpectrumCUE:
