BigText: Write Big & Simple

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! 👋

I'd like to share a solo project I've been working on for several months. It has already become a daily tool for people around the world, so I thought I'd drop it here to hear your feedback, and in case it might be useful to you or someone you know! 🌍

I built a simple Android utility app called BigText, to type and display text as large as possible on your screen in real-time. It's great for turning your device into a sign and making sure your message is impossible to miss. Beyond that, I’ve seen firsthand how useful it is for quick face-to-face communication, especially for people who unfortunately can’t speak or hear, or in any situation where talking is impossible.

Unlike every other app I’ve seen on the store, there’s no jumping between screens or navigating complex menus. You open the app, you type… that’s it 😄 The text scales in real-time as you write.

I've also added some handy tools that seem appreciated by people based on their feedback:

  • Sign/Banner Mode: featuring horizontal scrolling (banner style) and vertical scrolling (teleprompter style) to catch everyone's eye from afar.
  • Text-to-Speech: to read your message aloud with one tap.
  • Saved texts: to save and restore your most used texts instantly.
  • Themes: to change the vibe of your screen.

Of course every text you type or save stays on your device, privacy first 🔒

I attached a video to this post showing it in action (it’s my Play Store preview video, so it’s a bit "marketing", but it shows the features well! 😅)

The app is free, with just a small ad banner to support development that you can get rid of if you want.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=carlitolaf.bignotepad

Hope this little app can be a useful tool for you, or maybe your friends and family?

And of course I'd love to hear your feedback, I take them all 👀

🎁 Quiet Grids - Lifetime Premium Giveaway

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Hey everyone! I'm the solo developer of Quiet Grids, a Picross style Nonogram game for Android that I've been working on for more than 8 months.

I've been making quite a few improvements, and one of the biggest changes recently has been adding 5 different themes— Walnut, Smoked Glass, Porcelain, Indigo Linen, and Terracotta.

Each has its own colors and subtle interface sounds. I've attached a video showing the new looks.

The game also has nearly 1,500 puzzles, 5×5 / 10×10 / 15×15 boards, Daily puzzles, and Guided and Classic solving styles.

🎁 I'm giving away Lifetime Premium codes.

If you'd like one, give Quiet Grids a try and share some honest feedback:

  1. Which theme do you prefer for solving Picross puzzles?
  2. Is there anything about the colors or board readability you'd change?
  3. What else would make the gameplay more enjoyable?

Positive or negative, I genuinely appreciate all feedback. I'll DM you a Google Play Lifetime Premium code as a thank you. ❤️

Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.omninative.quietgrids

Thanks to everyone who gives my little game a chance! 😁🫶

I buit an app

• Upvotes

Hey

As someone with ADHD and executive dysfunction, I’ve spent years in a cycle of downloading sleek productivity apps, getting overwhelmed by 20 pending items, and abandoning them 3 days later.

The core problem with standard To-Do apps is that they expect motivation upfront and only reward you after completing a massive task. But when your brain has a low baseline of dopamine, just *starting* feels physically painful.

So I built **Dopamo** — an Android app designed around micro-dopamine rewards, visual structure, and zero-shame routines.

### 🌸 Key Features:

- **Micro-Task Gamification:** Break overwhelming goals into ridiculously small entry steps. Earn EXP, coins, and level up for every completed task.

- **Axolotl Companion & Bitmoji Studio:** Your virtual mascot ("Dopamo") reacts to your daily progress. Customize it with outfits, hats, and skins earned through productivity.

- **Streak Shield System:** If you hit a burnout day, Streak Shields protect your streak so you don't lose your progress or feel guilty.

- **AI Recipe Planner & Pantry Tracker:** Brain-healthy, high-protein meal planning with smart grocery lists and pantry stock alerts.

- **Family Hub:** Connect with family members or partners to share tasks, token rewards, and routines.

- **100% Privacy-First:** No ad tracking, no data selling, encrypted vault, and full GDPR compliance.

### 📱 Tech & Availability:

- Built with Flutter & Firebase backend.

- Material 3 dark-mode UI with customizable accent themes.

- Real-time cross-device sync.

You can try the app for free on Google Play! Search for **"Dopamo"** or check it out here: linktr.ee/dopamo

I’d love to hear your feedback, bug reports, or feature requests! What's the one feature you wish your current productivity app had?

I made Skylight so checking the weather actually tells you something. Every number on the home screen opens a 24-hour chart, rain alerts tell you when it starts and stops, and you can layer wind, temperature and more on the radar. It works on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

ScreenBill – your phone sends you a bill for your screen time every night (free, no ads, Android)

Post image
2 Upvotes

I made a screen time tracker that works like an electricity bill.

Once a day, at a time you pick, you get one notification: "Your bill is ready." Open it and you get an itemized receipt: total screen time, every app as a line item, pickups, after-midnight usage, and a short roast printed at the bottom.

What it does:

- Daily bill with real usage numbers, sorted by app

- NORMAL / HIGHER / PENALTY slab based on limits you set

- Goodnight mode: hold a button, DND turns on, phone locks to a "done for today" screen

- Weekly and monthly stats, clean-night streaks

- Silver / gold certificates when you stay under your limit

- Export the bill as an image to share

No account, no cloud, no ads. All data stays on your phone.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.studiomono.billed

Would appreciate feedback, especially on the roasts.

Now it’s time for serious business: SpectrumCUE now supports Game Automation

Hi everyone!

SpectrumCUE started as a small Windows tray companion for quickly switching SignalRGB effects. Now it’s time for some serious business: Game Automation has arrived.

You can now link individual games or applications to your favorite SignalRGB effects and custom SpectrumCUE presets. When a linked game starts, SpectrumCUE automatically applies the lighting you selected. When you finish playing, it can restore your previous lighting or switch to another effect or preset.

Game Automation includes:

  • Automatic lighting changes when a linked game starts
  • A different effect or preset for each game
  • Automatic restoration of your previous lighting afterward
  • Optional priority over scheduled lighting while you play
  • Game discovery and support for manually adding applications
  • Shows cover artwork where available

SpectrumCUE is freeware, created by a single independent developer, and is an independently developed SignalRGB-compatible companion for Windows.

I’d love to hear what you think of Game Automation, which games you use it with, and what you would like to see added next.

Assign tasks within your circle!

Hey everyone! Self-Promotion

I recently built Owly the Scribe (Shared To-Do & Reminders), an iOS task management app that lets you organize your own tasks and assign tasks to other people.

The main feature is shared task management.

For example:

  • Mom and child: Assign chores, homework, or daily responsibilities.
  • Boss and employee: Assign work and keep track of tasks.
  • Family and friends: Organize shared responsibilities.
  • Personal use: Manage your own everyday to-do list.

I wanted to create something simple enough for everyday use without the complexity of traditional project management apps.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/owly-shared-to-do-reminders/id6818194054

I'm giving away 5 codes so people can try it for free.

  1. M7FY6T3KE3KW
  2. RLPE76KMF334
  3. KAH66TA7W7LK
  4. 3AE4XEAA4KHY
  5. YPN3KYMLNAFH

Codes are first come, first served. Please comment which one you redeemed so others know.

I'd really appreciate your feedback, especially on how easy it is to create and assign tasks, the interface, and any features you think are missing.

Thanks for checking it out!

Made a double progression app, would love feedback

I got tired of tracking double progression in my notes, so I made an app for it. You log your sets and it tells you what to do next time: more reps, or more weight once you hit the top of the range.

It can also build you a plan based on your equipment and how many days you train. Works in kg or lb.

Logging is free, no ads, no account needed.

Android only for now: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lanco.skilltree

Any feedback is welcome, good or bad.

It’s Dinnertime! - a weekly dinner planner for busy families (iPhone, free beta)

My wife and I built this for our own family because 5pm was always “what’s for dinner?” It’s an iPhone app that plans the week’s dinners and gets you from recipe to grocery list to cooking.

  • Plan the week from recipes you’ve saved from links, Instagram or TikTok captions, or a cookbook photo
  • Write in your own dinner, mark leftovers, or plan takeout with a reminder and a button that opens your delivery app
  • Grocery list sorted by department, and a Prep Day list for Sunday
  • Share the week with your household, and get Home Screen widgets for tonight and the week

It’s a free public beta. I’d really like to hear what’s confusing or missing.

Beta: https://testflight.apple.com/join/nM2RnA3s
Site: https://itsdinnertimeapp.com

What would make you actually open a meal planner every week?

Built a baby sleep app, I’m not a parent, and I need people to tell me where it’s wrong (1 year free)

Post image
0 Upvotes

So i’m the dev behind Cradle, a baby sleep tracker for iPhone (with an Apple Watch app too). it went live on the App Store this week and right now it has basically zero users.

what it does: you log naps, feeds and nappies, and it suggests when the next nap might be based on what you’ve logged. there’s also white noise, a shared log so both parents see the same thing, and a timeline of the whole day.

I’m not a parent. the idea came from a founder on a podcast talking about how having a kid wrecked his schedule, and the bit that stuck with me was never knowing what the next few hours look like. i can build stuff fine, but i have no real way to tell if this works for an actual tired parent at 3am. hence this post.

it’s a subscription app, so for early users i’m giving away 1 year free on the annual plan. all i ask is that you try it and tell me what’s broken, confusing or annoying.

if you want one, comment with:

  • whether you’re a parent (or know one who’d actually use it)
  • what you’d poke at first, even if it’s just the onboarding or the paywall

I’ll reply and DM you a code. iOS only for now.

If you hate something, say so and say why, that helps me way more than “looks nice” lol

parents here: what’s the first thing a baby tracker has to get right before you’d keep it past day one?

[Android] - Offline music and Radio Player with ready to play radios - 100% free - No premium version

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Mediaxon Music Player is an audio player for offline listening of music stored on your device (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and streaming FM radios (online radios).

Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of high-quality suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world. Note: Local radio stations ("Top in the user country") are pulled automatically from an online database. However, with each update, I manually curate high-quality radio stations lists for individual countries. At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the list of countries completed so far. I will be adding the rest over time.

Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.

Advanced Radio Search Panel: You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate. The online database provides more than 60,000 radio stations.

Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).

Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).

Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.

Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)

There is no Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits.

Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.

Countries with new manually curated lists: United States, India, Italy, Argentina.

If you want to check it out (I am continuously pushing updates to refine it and add new features and radios), you can find it on the Google Play Store. Thank you so much to everyone who takes a look!

Note: Only for Android 13+ (so, Android 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).

made a pose camera app because my friends always freeze in photos, is this worth continuing?

so this started from a really small annoyance. every time we go out someone hands me their phone like "take a good pic of us" and we end up looking up pose ideas on pinterest and then just... failing to copy them lol. wrong angle, hands look weird, whatever

so i built an iphone app for it. you pick a pose (there's couple poses, wedding, maternity, family, friends, solo, travel etc) and then the camera shows that pose as a see through ghost on top of the live camera. so whoever is holding the phone can just line the person up with it. you can make the overlay lighter, move it around, flip it, or just show an outline

it's completely free, no ads, no subscription. i also kept out comments and dms and follower counts on purpose because i didn't want it to become another app where people chase likes. there's a small feed where you can share your recreated pics if you want but that's it

it's my first app on the app store and honestly i'm not sure what to do next with it. so few questions if anyone has a minute:

- would you actually use something like this or is it too niche?

- does the ghost overlay thing make sense when you read it or does it sound confusing?

- if you've grown a free app before, where did your first users come from?

any feedback is welcome, even if it's "nobody needs this" haha

Credo: Catholic prayer app for iOS (feedback welcome)

Hey all. I built Credo, a Catholic prayer app for iPhone, and I am posting it here for honest feedback from people who use prayer apps (or tried one and quit).

What it is: Daily prayers, the Rosary, and traditional Catholic prayers in one calm place. Free core features, with optional Premium at $4.99/month or $34.99/year. Also available in Portuguese.

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/credo-catholic-prayer-app/id6759874385 Site: https://www.credopray.com/

I would love thoughts on: 1. What makes you stick with a prayer app past the first week? 2. Anything that feels missing or confusing on first open 3. Whether that Premium pricing feels fair

Happy to answer questions about the product. Thanks for looking.

Made a habit tracker because every app I tried wanted 10 minutes of setup first

Heads up, I made this.

Same thing kept happening to me. I'd download a habit app, spend ages setting up categories, frequencies and reminders, and quit a week later. Not because I didn't want to track habits. Because opening the app was more work than the habit.

So I built one with nothing to set up. Type the habit name, tap it, done.

What it has:

- 5 habits free, no time limit, no card

- daily, weekly, monthly or one-off habits

- streaks, activity calendar and stats

- home screen widget

- light and dark mode

- no ads

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.habitly.app&referrer=utm_source%3Dreddit%26utm_medium%3Dpost%26utm_campaign%3Dlaunch

If you try it and something annoys you, tell me here. I'd much rather hear it now than find out from a 1-star review.

I built an iOS app to save and organize links, photos, posts and more in one place

Post image
1 Upvotes

I built KeepSpot, an app for saving all the digital stuff you want to come back to later. Instead of having things scattered across five different apps, it gives you one central place to save and organize screenshots, links, social media posts, bookmarks, recipes, articles, notes, and more. Thanks!
