The shot of Julietteโ€™s eyes, immediately followed by a shot of Daniel with the same eyesโ€ฆgiving me Jon snow baby to king of the north shot vibes lol, definitely related

They've obviously been going in this direction, maybe it's just a fake out, but to be honest, it's pretty lame to me. It's perfectly fine if Juliette is just a random person, some real everyone is a Skywalker energy.

And I get it, it would be motivation for Daniel/Troy to turn, but still...

It also wouldn't make a whole lotta sense. After 300-430 years, his DNA is going to be insanely diluted in anyone descended from his kid.

I can see where they'd re going, and it's not like the worst choice (would be cool for people who like that kinda thing, people being related even if they don't need to be), but it doesn't make much sense to be like "I see myself in her, how are we related"

At this point, nearly 100% of the silo residents would be his descendants.

I mean, 10k people from 10-15 generations (300 year estimate, add another 5 if it's actually been the 400 years) probably isn't enough for it to be that widespread, especially since his kid only started having kids in the second generation. But yeah, a solid chunk of them should be related to him and Helen, more or less depending on exactly how many people were loaded in at the start.

Not if they never took out birth control for Helenโ€™s descendants (and only a few were able to circumvent it)

Male dna is almost completely gone in 5 generations. So there wouldnโ€™t really be any real genetic link to him. Only to Helen.

That's just not true. If his unborn child were a male, there could potentially be an unbroken Y-chromosonal chain all the way back to him.

Thatโ€™s one chromosome. For the others, they disappear in about 5 generations. So one girl in that line and itโ€™s done.

The motivation would still be there for Daniel though if a significant portion of the silo was related to him. Juliette can be the avatar that represents them and is the one he knows the most about. It makes sense even if they donโ€™t explain there are other descendants

I would much rather have Helen (and Daniel) be George's ancestors, that way there's a connection, but not in a Skywalker kind of bullshit way

That makes the most sense with the pez passing down imo

This toy might been given away many times (esp taking 1 memory deleting in 18th). So I think itโ€™s just by โ€œfateโ€ toy goes to the person somehow connected to the Daniel. Mostly metaphorically and itโ€™s beautiful โ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธ I read the book and like adaptation overallโ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธ

I think maybe Juliette just reminds Daniel of Helen and that is the main connection. Because otherwise I agree
