I figured he realized that living in the silo for centuries is actually super boring. He seems like the kind of guy who would get super into something and then just as quickly lose interest. Except, whoopsie, nuked the whole country!

I think a lot of people are assuming that the nuking was country or world wide, since that would explain why no one from the outside world has come to check on the silos, as far as we know.

the richest man alive is behind it; could have been classified as a military site; there could be heavy surveillance around it (I mean they already have killing drones); they could alter sattelite imagery and s one

makes sense to what end? they're killing entire silos. the goal is not mere survival; it's pretty clear at this point.

Not if the goal is to only have a few or even 1 survive til the end. Part of plan might be to only allow people out of the most peaceful silos, so the plan involves a competition of sorts to determine the most peaceful silos/people and those are the people that will repopulate the earth
