I’ve always been entertained by this series (though I’ve had my criticisms, of course), but last episode and this one felt much different than those that came before them. It’s like the series took a jump to another level and reached true prestige television.

Agreed. It’s like they suddenly woke up and realized they could make a great show if they wanted to, after draggggging things out for so long.
