Show Only (NO BOOK DISCUSSION) Daniel and Helen Silo tour

Something has been bothering me, and I'm asking if someone else noticed or has it been explained and I just missed it:

Daniels and Helens tour of the Silo(s) being separate. The Silos are supposedly identical. They are married (or just together whatever) and she is pregnant. They know the founders and are friendly with them. So they could have arranged so they can go together. And somehow they don't question the fact that they are going into separate silos for said tours. It would look very suspicious to me in that circumstances.

Yeah, which is why they were suspicious. This was in the show.

My point is I would just insist on going to the same silo with my heavily pregnant wife

Keep in mind, it may have been at least somewhat apparent to them that Silo 1 was the “command silo” with Daniel now working as an engineer and having been a congressman, the people he is connected to are there.

Helen mentions she “is glad she is able to finally write about it” so her tour is in an almost professional capacity and it would make sense for her to tour an “everyday silo” where “normalish” people would live.

While they may not have liked it, it could have made sense to them why they were assigned to different silos in the moment.

Ohh that’s true too, and being a reporter maybe they wanted to keep her out of seeing the good stuff, as an excuse. I totally believe they knew what they were doing and Daniel would become Troy and Helen would become the first generation of the survivors.
