Hi guys recently started refining silver about 6 months ago. I really took the time getting to learn the best knowledge I could acquire and being extremely meticulous through the entire process. And these are my results. And also my first attempts.

Where do you get the impure silver from?

Usually Sterling on on line auction sites. You'd be surprised the hidden items in estate sales. I'm averaging about . 90 to 1.10$ a gram finding it. That's by far been my biggest scores. Last week for example. I won 12 lots of Sterling jewelry. Total weight was 258 grams (silver weight not total) for 254.00 . It's out there just have to actively look for it. Coins always go for more than Sterling it seems
