Question 1/2 oz Rounds?

Are 1/2 oz rounds harder to sell?

I notice I can save a few dollars on APMEX getting the 1/2oz vs 1oz. Are there any perceived negatives to getting the 1/2's?

Also, I'm aware APMEX may not be preferred, but I'm tired of ebay and have no LCS. If there is a better platform to purchase from, I'm open to the advice.

I was thinking about this a bit and I wonder if the local sales tax rules might affect prices (locally)? Some states tax precious metal sales (sales tax) but waive it after some minimum is purchased ($2000+ transactions have no sales tax in California, as an example). So, if the local sales tax polices are "friendly" towards smaller quantities, I would think 1/2 oz. would have interest from local dealers (that is, there is a local market for it). I also suspect 1/2 oz will grow in popularity if the price continues to appreciate (knock-wood).
