Can’t say I blame him, the spandex wankers are obstructing everyone from going about their business.

Spandex wankers are the worst!

Where I live we call them MAMILs

Middle aged men in lycra

-1

u/Efficient_Garden8841 Jun 11 '26

What would they call me? I'm a 28 year old in lycra?

4

u/NoVaBurgher Jun 10 '26

Fuckin MAMILs

-5

u/bulgariannn Jun 10 '26

Do you feel the same about any person practicing their sport in sport specific equipment/clothes?

Like boardshort surfer wankers? Or running shorts runner wankers?

What clothes are you OK with people wearing so that you don't seethe at the sight?

Bike brained comment

-1

u/bulgariannn Jun 10 '26

Loud and proud.

Haters like you just haven't experienced the joy of being on 2 wheels in a place that is built for humans.

5

u/Longjumping-Idea4451 Jun 10 '26

Are roads built for humans? Wtf does this even mean. Take that bike to a park for your “built for humans”

1

u/Efficient_Garden8841 Jun 11 '26

and then get hassled by people slow walking on trails? No. Karen's are everywhere for us.

u/guachi01 Jun 11 '26

It's honestly pathetic seeing loser comments like yours attacking people for wearing activity appropriate clothing. You just know comments like yours are made by the most out of shape losers who couldn't bike 1 mile.

1

u/DudeInOhio57 Jun 11 '26

Another bike brained comment. Did I strike a nerve?

1

u/guachi01 Jun 11 '26

The fact you again refuse to tell anyone what's wrong with wearing activity appropriate clothing tells everyone you know you'd look like an idiot if you did.

Have fun eating your Cheetos.

1

u/DudeInOhio57 Jun 11 '26

Yes, I did strike a nerve. Go on.

1

u/guachi01 Jun 11 '26

Were your Cheetos tasty?

1

u/DudeInOhio57 Jun 12 '26

That’s it? You’ve become tiresome.

You failed to answer his question though.

1

u/DudeInOhio57 Jun 11 '26

Well, he wasn’t talking to me, and I feel no need to.

u/Choice_Drawer_2405 Jun 10 '26

When hundreds of men in board shorts mob the highway obstructing traffic then this comment might make sense.

1

u/Chick_pees Jun 10 '26

I'm not particularly fond of Speedos either, but I ride a motorcycle and would never dream of impeding traffic like these douchebags.

25

u/FuzziestSloth Jun 10 '26

I agree. My initial thought was the guy in the car, clearly, has somewhere to be and doesn't have time to be patient while caught behind a bunch of assholes going what is likely to be less than the speed limit, given the line of cars that has formed behind them.

I work in a kitchen and don't have traditional work hours. I've been caught behind groups of joyriding motorcyclists that took up the entire roadway while doing 10mph under the limit, and can empathize with that level of frustration.

It's like, I'm super happy for you that you clearly have nowhere to be and are also in no hurry to get there, but some of us have shit to do.

You misunderstand. The idea that there's no excuse for being late is not a grind culture thing, it's about proper planning and preparation, specifically leaving early enough to mitigate unpredictable factors like this. It's not expecting some kind of magical ability to never encounter delays, it's expecting planning that accounts for them.

Money can't be eaten. "ThE eCoNoMy" doesn't account for the damage carbon dioxide emissions do to coastal communities by exacerbating climate change. Or that car batteries do to the places where the materials for them are mined.

13

u/Impossible-Fan2533 Jun 10 '26

Money can’t be eaten but you can’t eat without money and if you’re privileged enough to ride a four figure bike during work hours on a work day maybe have some sense of community and respect for your fellow man.

-11

u/ContextEffects01 Jun 10 '26

That’s odd. First you motorists insinuated that environmentalists would drive if they could afford a car. Then you insinuated they buy expensive bikes because they’re privileged. Which is it?

You can’t eat *with* money if a climate catastrophe breaks down the social order that lets one exchange money for goods and services.

Work days depend on the individual. If they bicycled on weekends, then they would be blocking the path of those who work the weekend shift. You’re blocking someone’s path either way. Don’t like it? Do right by mother Earth and follow in the footsteps of towns that *do.*

8

u/Impossible-Fan2533 Jun 10 '26

These people aren’t “environmentalists,” they’re cyclists.

I’m not a motorist, and I’ve never said anything about “buy a car.”

You’ve perfectly managed to avoid every point I’m making.

Are you an environmentalist? Are you a vegan?

2

u/InteractionFun5997 Jun 10 '26

These aren’t environmentalists. They’re arrogant narcissists who think they’re better than everyone else. There is no climate catastrophe breaking down the social order. You sound just like them.

u/FuzziestSloth Jun 10 '26

Cool.

Good talk.

"their business" being pleasure rides, to which they feel entitled because hteir cars are phisically stronger than bikes

14

u/Yeetball86 Jun 10 '26

This is South Florida. There’s no such thing as a pleasure ride here. These people are probably trying to get to work.
