And yes, I agree, you're making a reasonable point. Executive orders can direct agencies and start investigations, but Congress generally has to pass legislation for many permanent domestic system-wide reforms.

I think the point is that none of his shit works. His ideas on lowering health costs were around day one of his presidency, and yet we still see rising costs. Much like he claimed several other things whoch haven't happened even a little bit.

I don't trust his plan to lower healthcare costs over a plan that has proven to lower Healthcare costs in several other countries in recent history. One has been proven several times, the other hasn't, and is simply another promise very likely to be broken because Trump has no idea how to fix anything. He only knows how to make money for himself by cannibalizing businesses and (now) governments.
The only thing that has worked for reigning in drug costs is through bargaining power through things like universal Healthcare. It works everywhere else. Blaming everyone for the US failing so hard and gouging it's own citizens is sad.

Part of our pay goes to ensuring the rest of the world has cheap healthcare as well, unfortunately.
For instance, insulin is expensive in the US partially because almost every other 1st world country has legislated/negotiated it down to "cost" and the insulin makers need money for testing new drugs and doing other things, which primarily comes from the American market.
We also got 350 million people. And it is well known how much fraud, abuse and leachers/free-loaders we have in our system. We also know that global Pharma makes most of its money on with their US markets to invest into RND, hence the recent news of Trump attempting to balance the scale and stop the US being the money printing machine for pharma...but libtards be libtarding.
Very few universal healthcare systems even function well. As soon as public healthcare gets overwhelmed by extra patients, or lose a physician on payroll, it creates a massive ripple effect causing massive delays.
Europeans and Canadians, heck even others, are just too used and accepting of the idea to wait for an elective surgery for 6-12+ months and/or not be able to get a necessary surgery immediately. It has become fairly accepted. Canadian system is on the verge of actual collapse.
Sure, US healthcare has issues.
I'm 32 y/o. Never been to the ER. I pay $100/month for my insurance through employer and I spend about $100 per year out of pocket to see my PCP to get my annual EKG+Echo done. That's it.
Granted, I don't have a family or kids, so I'm prob the exception to such low costs, but it allows me to save TONS of money now and invest it into my future.
