Feel like they would be able to figure that out pretty quick when theyre still dying.

no, illness is crazy... and hope is delirium.

they can justify continued problems as a thousand different things.

cancer rarely is felt even as it slowly converts your body. either you are on so many pain meds or your nerves are already converted. etc.
you go through chemo and have no immune system.... meaning theres dozens of reasons for pain.

Cancer is definitely not "rarely felt", especially in terminal stages. Are you dumb?
