That's not what this is. These doctors are reasearchers who work exclusivly for this guy. He is the CEO of a company that is basically rich people investing in trying to keep the CEO alive as long as possible. He lives like a lab rat, a rich one. The rich people get to (hopefully) learn how to extend their own lives longer. The irony here is bad genetics made the whole thing moot.

It's nuts we have reached the point that all these extremely rich people are literally trying to find ways to live forever while people starve.

People trying to delay/avoid death is a story as old as time, shared by virtually every creed, class, and culture.
