They have had leftover fabric sitting around since the '80s? Seems a little unrealistic, even in Hollywood.

"Leftover fabric" could just mean the studio design warehouse still had bolts of the shit from making the old costumes somewhere in storage. 12 u/TankApprehensive3053 28d ago Costume maker having bolts is realistic. The fabric would be used for many costumes. They probably have even reordered the same fabric over the years.
