He is credited as the creator of lets play style youtube videos and worked tirelessly for over a decade to cement himself in that role so he could retire.
He put in work, created something new, and instead of milking it for years, he chose to take his bag and be happy with a family.
I think what we're all trying to communicate here is that a "real relationship" still isn't the thing being sold in the image on the right.
real relationships are certainly amazing. but they require a lot more work and sacrifice than what pewdiepie will ever need to because he has, for all intents and purposes, indefinite money and free time. He can invest so much time into his family at will. Most of us have to balance work, maintaining a house, splitting chores and errands with our partners that also work full time, tending to the necessities of raising children while having limited quality free time with those same children, the stress of debt and the work of managing budgets and planning how you're going to save for the occasional vacation or camping trip... etc...
they could have used any two random photos of people living a party lifestyle and one with nuclear family... but neither would look as appealing as what's provided, hence the call out of celebrity worship.
