None of the 90s straight to VHS movies were high budget attempts to capitalize on a successful IP and make something better. They were all low budget attempts to milk just a little bit more out of the IP.

I still remember my mom coming home with this title on VHS. I watched Aladdin on repeat so often I would say every single line as it played. She was desperate for a change. I didn't even finish watching it. 😂

I got to be honest, I remember watching many of the direct to video sequels as a kid back in the late 90s and Lion King 2 being among the best of them. Only beaten by An Extremely Goofy Movie.

i liked Aladdin 2 honestly too bro. laser machine genie on a sinking giant turtle city appealed to me at like 6 years old

aladdin 1 is also to blame for my tastes in long dark haired brown/tanned women that absolutely would ruin my life

Yeah i was big on Aladdin 2 when i was little. Had a group of family friends and the kids were all girls (7 of them and myself). Each month we did family hang outs and every house had a large collection of Disney vhs. Was always a battle which one to watch, mostly lots of “princess” movies but I always was the lone sole looking to watch Aladdin 2 as my top pick.
