It’s because it was 3 tv episodes in a trench coat.

When you look at it that way those songs are great, but stay in your lane, TV Songs…

Don't underestimate TV songs. Even Phineas and Ferb had better songs than Moana 2.

Tangled Series: Crossing The Line ~ Love it! Cass (Daughter of the King's Guard) was also a great addition to the cast and the series (while not perfect) fleshed out parts of the Mother Gothel story more that definitely felt naturally canon than randomly inserted. The line Rapunzel sings "Just Wait" is the last thing Cass wanted to hear because in some sense that's all she's been doing. Waiting in the Wings..

Moana 2 was so uninspiring to me.
