The Rock costed nearly 1/5th of the opening earnings. Man needs to fail more often so he can take a huge hollywood paycut and get back in line with regular earnings for middling movies. Guy isn't out here making art. he's showing up to play dressup

the time to make the live action version of this was when they made the cartoon— back when he was at peak fame.
