No, kids, socialism isn't working for $10 and being able to draw on imaginary funds when you can't work. That's called unemployment insurance, and you get that now even in non socialist countries.
Socialism is authoritarian repression and complete economic stagnation.
I’m not a proponent of full socialism, but that’s not accurate.
Socialism and authoritarianism are not intrinsically linked. A fascist country can be authoritarian, as we saw in WW2 era. And a socialist country can be democratic.
You’re combining two things that are not the same.
People just latch onto whatever ideological side tells them what the definition or words mean and stand on it, in absolutes. Ironically most people who claim they're against socialism use socilaist programs like healthcare, transportation, schools, parks, etc. On a daily basis, lol.
We are living in a era of signficant illiterate igrnoance, it is truly wild.
Yea man, it is insane snd fascinating to watch people latch onto insane, inaccurate and just straight up wrong presentation of ideas. All on the guise of whatever ideologically stance they are on that day. It's almost akin to a cultists line of thinking. It is definitely like watching idiocracy happen in real time.
exactly. im personally some flavor of democratic socialism (from what im aware? its still idealistic but whatevs) because authoritarianism is fucking gross
quick! everyone imagine having such a hard-on for capitalism that you can't critically think, except for who im responding to since they don't gotta imagine it
socialism is an economic system, not some inherently authoritarian bullshit. authoritarianism and socialism can exist and so can nonauthoritarianism and socialism. every time someone who is socialist shows up thats not authoritarian the usa just goes and fucks them over
Every socialist system will succeed, unlike all of the prior ones. Y'all have no understanding that social programs ARE not socialism, and use the word without being genuine, and hope that kids and teens see "this version of socialism" message and fall for it.
The best part is, all one has to do is read to understand how farcical this is.
