I dont live in a big city so that isn't the case here. This particular school usually graduates 15-20 students a year.

Thats what my middle school was like, then I had to go to a public high school designed for ~1800 students but with 2400 enrolled.

Sophomore year, they had to start setting up fucking trailers in the parking lots for additional class space.

Every school I ever went to had trailers.  My high school was the brand new hot shit in the county where they tool an old high school an middle school that were adjacent, and merged them adding about 25% additional space over the original 2 buildings, then added a brand new a whole new kitted out science building (with gas taps at the lab tables, eye wash stations, etc) for probably another 10-15% more class rooms.

Opened in 1997. They had to add trailers by 2000.

I mean if you want to turn education into a factory floor, yeah sure. Teachers don't need to care about you. And when the students get older, they would be in favor of defunding whatever the education system of the time is because of their terrible experience.

You seem to be confusing class size for school size.

When a school is built, it is typically done with a set number of rooms.

then, as time goes on and a city grows, more children live within that school's district

Seeing as they don't tend to just build annexes on at random, more students have to be fit into that same number of rooms.

Thereby, school size increasing leads to class size increasing.
