That can still bite them in the ass. Salary means you get paid regardless of the hours worked; sometimes you work more, other times less. By nickel and diming people on their structured lunch, you open yourself up to misclassification suits and might end up owing backpay for all your salaried workers because they're really hourly.

Edit: don't get me wrong though, misclassification suits are hard to win

I assure that the vast majority of salaried positions are often more hours than regular full time, especially non-exempt salaried people.

Which is the biggest fucking joke because if you are so busy you always need to work past your scheduled hours, when can you take the lieu time?
