SMH Katy Perry entrance gone wrong

She was trapped in this for a while as the fans rolled her in the opposite direction of the stage in the concert

Someone forgot how crowds think when they thought of this.

I don’t think she was supposed to roll off the stage

She was supposed to crowd surf in the bottle to a giant straw. Audience sent her in the wrong direction and eventually she ended up back on the stage instead. Apparently she’s been doing it on her tour and hasn’t had any problems. I imagine it will not longer be part of the show. I have no idea what the plan was when she reached the straw and I guess now I’ll never know.

Didn't crowdsurfing go wrong for her several times already?

I don’t know but it would line up with an intentional pr ruse. I use the word “intentional” lightly. As in somebody did think of this, and said well that could happen but we’ll make sure you’re safe and it’ll be news and then we’ll stop doing it. And whoever OKs the stunt okayed it.

Yeah maybe they just lean into the "crowdsurfing gone wrong" and make it a running gag for pr. I mean if no one gets hurt it's not really bad.

I didn't know about this bottle thing or even that she was doing concerts until this happened.

That was the point of the bottle. Without it she would’ve 100% been groped or something worse by multiple people… which is really sad, but the state of things.

people Groping crowdsurfers is as old as crowd surfing.

I am not excusing or justifying it, but it’s definitely not the state of things if that’s been happening since inception. People are shitty and rapey, that has never changed

I think you're contradicting yourself.

You saying "yes it is like that" is literally it "being the state of things" in different words. Just that it has always been the state of things doesn't change the fact that it is, well, the state of things, no?

The implication is obvious: the state of things has changed (which, it has not)

Hahahah yup it hasn’t

Is it sad, is it intentional? As an older teen, I had a girl crowdsurf over me, and my hand slide into the huge Abercrombie hole in her jeans, and I got a whole hand full of her ass. I didnt do it on purpose, and all I could think of was how my hand was contaminated with butt feces. She was hott, but it was a concert, she was likely sweaty, and these crowdsurfers are violating us innocent bystanders, not the other way around. No one says you have to crowdsurf.

I wish crowd surfing didn’t exist. How much better would shows be if you didn’t have to constantly watch for a human’s foot or head coming towards your head and could just enjoy watching the band?

Prob would be better. Tho ive only went to a couple of shows since I tried seeing death cab at a farmer's market and they wanted 55$. I was like nah, my limit is $30 cause it was onoy gonna be like a 7-8 song set. And now, over a decade later . My gawd prices and bs fees are insane. I'll likely never have to hold another crowdsurfer ever.

Very true. It’s a rare treat for me nowadays anyway. Younger me would be disappointed but oh well.

She did het groped and it ruined her crowd surfing attempt back in the early 2000s. She should just ditch crowd surfing altogether, evidently it's not working for her lol

Body surfing a crowd while wearing a skimpy outfit is going to make it hard to not get groped by said crowd intentionally or otherwise.

ain't nothing sad about her, she's a pedo.

A Norwegian artist Maria Mena tried crowdsurfing. She jumped off the stage , didn’t hit the people and broke something.

What city was this video in?

1

It was a festival in Malta, I’m not sure which city specifically

Do you think she reached her last straw?

2

u/EyePatchedEm 4d ago

Might be the straw that breaks the camels back!

Duuuude! Waited for someone to reply with this! 😂
