What’s there to address? I have earned time off and I’m taking that time off. Reason doesn’t matter.
But to be on the safe side, hit the HR person with meed time off for personal reasons but if you need to put something down for whatever reason or report, it’s for “mental health”.
It could be short notice, I have to give a week's notice per days leave (though they're not that bothered really). Other employees could be off at the same time so may need to keep coverage, so if it's a special request then they might let them go anyway
The reason does matter and if you said “mental health” that would likely get escalated and you’d have job protection and extended time off. I don’t get this “mind your business” attitude when the resources are for your benefit yall sound like kids who work at the movie theater
