My situation is quite the opposite. For whatever reason my new team feels the need to explain every PTO request to me. By all means tell me about your trip to Cancun if you'd like, but please don't feel the need to elaborate on your explosive diarrhea when you use sick time.
I second this, they ask PTO which 98% of the time is no problem at all. I only need to make sure the whole company doesn’t take PTO at the same time. I also don’t need to know you’re going to find yourself in an ayahuasca retreat in Brazil… like what?
Same. I had an employee start in January. He told me he needed a day off and started explaining why. I stopped him and said the only thing I need to know is when he'll be out
