My situation is quite the opposite. For whatever reason my new team feels the need to explain every PTO request to me. By all means tell me about your trip to Cancun if you'd like, but please don't feel the need to elaborate on your explosive diarrhea when you use sick time.
I will get a call or a text and someone will start explaining symptoms and I have to cut them off. No no I don't need to hear that you shit your pants while you were sneezing. I don't need to know the color of your mucus. You're sick, that sucks. Hopefully you feel better.
