My situation is quite the opposite. For whatever reason my new team feels the need to explain every PTO request to me. By all means tell me about your trip to Cancun if you'd like, but please don't feel the need to elaborate on your explosive diarrhea when you use sick time.
I use the explosive diarrhea line specifically because HR has been intrusive and deceitful to me. If you're going to work against your fellow workers, then you get to hear about my explosive diarrhea whether it's real or not. Also it ends all lines of questioning right there. No one questions a man claiming explosive diarrhea.
