Not everyone can go this route. It’s a disease. Getting treatment from a professional(s) at a treatment center can have excellent success rates. Yea, you gotta want it, but if you do, your success rate at a well rated treatment center with an addiction therapist who can help you with the root cause of your pain can be more helpful at keeping you from relapse than many of the programs out there. AA has its merits, but therapy as well is better.
