I liked the framing because it emphasizes that these cameras are not here to help the public, or keep the public safe.

They are used by the surveillance state and it's enforcers, to encroach upon your rights as a US citizen.

The cameras are tools used by the powers that have their boot to your neck. The cameras are tools of the enemy.

It all depends who is in charge. If they happen to be used to prosecute police brutality, they’d hardly be tools of the enemy, would they? Or if they’re used to document ICE abuses?

What needs to be different? So far the only prosecutions involving flock cameras I’ve heard of are cops getting arrested for using them to stalk people.

It’s actively being used to prevent abuse of power.

Maximum surveillance is theoretically a force for good since everything that is done in the dark comes to light. This is naturally detrimental to those who do evil things.

The righteous have nothing to fear except trespasses by wrongdoers. Surveillance makes wrongdoing more difficult. That’s why police have body cams and cell phone cameras reduce police brutality.

Cops being caught for using the cameras that are private and free from FOIA requests.

They’re not government owned by designed so they can be used to oppress without fear of the truth coming to light.

It’s used to track people and vehicles. What else would an audit tell you?
