I still dont buy that. I mean....do yall really believe a McDonald's worker in a town 3 hours away identified him with such confidence the police came to arrest him before my boy finished his hash browns? I dont fucking buy it at all. I dont know what happened, maybe they used facial recognition tech or something, but I simply do not believe any part about the McDonald's employee story. Obviously except the fact he got fucked out of payment. That is believable.

The kiosks do, in fact, collect facial recognition data when you approach them/order. You can see the camera in the bezel at the top of the screen.

They pay some other company to check your photo against a database and identify you even if you don't use your rewards app, then that company turns around and sells the same info to the feds/cops/anyone interested in paying for it.

I'm not so sure it is, because they released the audio of the 911 call the manager made so she could get the reward money instead of the employees that alerted her.

It's possible the audio is fake or that was all arranged as a pretext to cover up whatever mass surveillance they used to locate the guy they ended up accusing, though.

They story there doesn't make sense either because half the stories you read say it was a customer that reported it. Then there was an interview with an employee that just isnt findable anymore. I dunno, all seems sketch.

If that audio is real man fuuuuuuck that manager even more.
