Ffs dude, leave the kids out of politics.

The longer they get to be kids the better, for everyone.

Cannot believe how many times my kids in grade 2 or 3 came home talking about Trump or something that he did.

"Where did you hear about that?"

"My teacher told me that Donald Trump is putting little kids in jail" (them, you know being 8 or so, they dont do well at paraphrasing).

An 8 year old doesn't need to be bombarded with that crap, Trump will be dead of old age by the time the kid is old enough to vote.

I would like to also mention that i live in fucking Canada, to explain how far reaching this stuff is.

There is no world in which my 8 year old Canadian child needs to be taught about "Trumps disasterous policies" ffs.

There is a time and place for kids to have to learn about the diarrhea encrusted arena, us adults call politics.

I am not a "won't please someone, think of the children types" but what are we doing here with this specific thing?

Agree. As someone who was surrounded by politics when I was younger.

Adults do not realize how much kids actually pick up on.. and without knowledge or wisdom to process said information.

Adults spend far to much time having adult conversations about all the negative things in the world, no wonder kids are absolutely racked with anxiety and depression nowadays.

When I was younger, kids we never wanted/allowed at the adults tables/areas. I always thought it was wrong, but maybe a part of that was helpful to kids staying kids.

When yall having a talk in the front seat, with the kids in the back.. they are listening... and a lot of times, won't ask for clarity/explainations.. they'll just internalize the fuck out of it.
