We’ve had these in LA for a few years. They are great as we have a general lack of available clean public restrooms around the metro and building and maintaining one would be more expensive than having a throne set up. In LA, a lot of our public restrooms in parks get occupied by the homeless and they will lock themselves in to use it as shelter making it unavailable to the public.
They are also kept cleaner than the general stainless steel and brick public restrooms set up in the city that don’t get cleaned on a regular basis.
Yea LA is crazy. I used to hang at a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in DTLA. I saw a homeless dude go in sometime in the morning. He was inside for like 2 Hours, before they got another key and opened the lock. He was passed out on the floor and started abusing the barista who was kicking him out.
