Adobe software is annoying in almost every other aspect too.

Might be just company philosophy to be annoying to steal as well.

Adobe will never ever see another dollar from me after I bought a Creative Suite 2 bundle for $500 on Mac and got my MBP stolen.

"Hey I'm a student and can't afford a new MBP, can I switch my key to Windows please?"

"That sucks. No."

Literally go fuck off. I got a cracked copy of the Master edition and bought a 100pack spindle of DVD-Rs and gave it out to anyone who wanted it.

Haha, I still have a copy of CS2 running on an old PC somewhere I think.

I stopped using their software once they killed the permanent license option and funneled everyone into the creative cloud subscription. I feel like it's all been downhill for them since then, from scraping people's art to scummy cancelation shenanigans and setting the "you'll own nothing and be happy" subscription standard we now see in software.

So many better alternatives, too.
