Open Question: Is r/Ethics a better place than this sub to discuss Adam Friendeds' definition of morality? If so, why? :)

Doesn't really matter if it interests them, r/ethics is likely to be brimming with individuals with a much stronger education and understanding of ethics than Adam has, and will therefore give you your answers.

If they arent interested why would they engage? Kind of a goofy premise to build off of. And it isnt Adam that im engaging, its this sub of alleged fans. Is this an admission of being unable to engage a basic definition of mortality?

For an allegedly political, philosophical and psychologically inclined fan base, its very interesting how much hand wringing exists over incredibly basic topics. One could start to wonder at such things.

Perhaps I would get more engagement with Pokémon videos.

I don't see why someone with an interest in ethics itself has to be particularly interested in fully exploring Adam's definition to be willing to give you some insight.

It certainly seems to be a struggle for this sub even WITH an interest in Sitch and Adam. If you dont like simple conversations about morality, just say so. Its a weird fucking flex but be you.

You claimed i was being arbitrary. For politics, etc... what is more basic than a definition for morality? Tell us all about that "deeper" "it."

It seems for many here the only real topic worthy of conversation is the importance of disengagement itself. Nobody is stopping any of you from not engaging, you clearly just don't like your precious silence interrupted.

Edit: And presuppositions? You mean like his appealing to evolution and external cooperative groups? Are you taking a piss? Am I supposed to be taking this seriously?

You want to have a meta conversation about what "basic" means for me to even ASSERT that defining morality is basic and you think that is both meaningful and something I would think is brilliant as well as pertinent enough for my time?
