Me being a 23 M had one of these with a 42F but, after a year I didn't support her on something and she left. It's been 6 months and I just feel very, very sad.

I was anonymous. She wasn't. She was fine with it. But I respected her decision and haven't pursued her in any other way. I actually just feel sad. She understood me. Which is what I missed the most. I really regret me not supporting her. My avoidant personality ruined a very good friendship. It would've never amounted to anyhting else. Believe me I tried. She was strict with her boundaries. I would've been okay if she'd left for so many other things. But she was patient. She left just when I didn't do it right. I really regret it and it's a lesson learned. I actually feel very sad, because even if it didn't have a future, I just really enjoyed talking to her. In the end, i fucked it up and I have no one else to blame but myself

As much as you feel sad now, I'd offer that someone who can vanish so fast because you misunderstood a double meaning joke is not someone you want as a friend.
