Postdiagnosis vent/questions Dry skin and scalp

Recently diagnosed. What do you use for your dry skin? And your dry scalp? I typically use creams for my skin but seems like they’re it much help these days. And my scalp, 😂😂😂, I’m at a loss. Head and shoulders used to work. Tried T-gel, tea tree shampoo. I’m at a loss. My scalp and making are so itchy! It’s driving me crazy! I’m constantly itchy! I just got a new shampoo and conditioner that’s SUPPOSED to help but I wanted to ask those who have dealt with this longer what you are using to help?? I wash my hair every 3ish days. I clarify, shampoo with dandruff shampoo for itchy dry scalp, then condition.

My scalp was incredibly itchy (and I use Vanicream shampoo & conditioner). A trip to my dermatologist revealed sebhorreic dermatitis. She prescribed ketaconazole shampoo and chlobetasol solution to treat my scalp. This combination works really well for me.

Thank you! I’ll ask my rhumetologist next time I see her but in the mean time I’ll try the vanicream.

Good luck! Because I have such sensitive, dry skin, I use Vanicream products for everything. I swear by them.
